Hancock Arrests at Northern Regional Jail
Hancock County does not operate a jail that holds prisoners for an extended period. The county's official 911 record-routing FAQ says a person who is not released is transported to Northern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility. The facility is at 112 Northern Regional Correction Drive in Moundsville, outside Hancock County, and its public line is 304-843-4067.
Northern Regional Jail serves Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Ohio, Tyler, and Wetzel counties. A name on its admissions list proves neither the arrest county nor the arresting agency. Match the committing court, complaint, and agency report before calling an entry a Hancock County arrest. The facility can help with fast-moving custody, name ambiguity, and a portal lag, but the arrest narrative remains with the agency.

A red no-results message means no active-supervision match met the entered criteria at that moment.
Those limits matter. A quick bond or recognizance release may occur before the entry becomes a stable result. Release can also remove a person from the active search. The interface does not confirm an officer name, probable-cause narrative, full criminal history, or final case result. Which Hancock Agency Made the Arrest?
The correct report custodian follows the badge named in the complaint or booking entry. Booking Logs and Recent Arrests
Hancock County has no official sheriff arrest blotter or county-only booking log. The functional official source is WVDCR Daily Incarcerations, organized by institution and date. Select Northern Regional Jail, then read its admission rows. The interface can show a details link, admission time, displayed name fields, birth date, gender, and a count. Because the jail serves six counties, each row still needs a Hancock County court or agency connection.
Daily Incarcerations is a recent admission view, not a historical Hancock County arrest index. The active jail search is also limited to people under current supervision. A dismissed charge can remain as an arrest cycle when its disposition was not linked correctly. For self-review, obtain the agency and court documents first, then use the WVSP correction process. West Virginia has no open anonymous repository name search. Nongovernment release requires the subject's signed and acknowledged authorization under W. Va. Code §15-2-24.
tip411 Is Not an Arrest Lookup
Hancock County publishes tip411 for anonymous safety tips and two-way chat. A user can text the keyword HCSOWV to 847411, use the linked mobile app, and attach a photo. The county says identifying information is removed before the sheriff receives the tip and warns that tip411 does not replace 911. It has no documented inmate, warrant, report-request, or court-status search.
